Guest Speakers Next Tuesday, April 17th will be Dave Diamante and Curtis Stevens at O’Neill’s

 

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, April 17th at O’Neill’s Restaurant located at 64-21 53rd Drive in Maspeth, New York starting at 7 PM.

David Diamante has announced professional boxing, MMA, and Muay Thai internationally for over fifteen years.  David has announced for HBO, including HBO World Championship Boxing and HBO Boxing After Dark; as well as Showtime, ESPN, FOX Sports, SNY, and MSG. In addition, David has announced in Spanish on Televisa and Azteca America. David is the official master of ceremonies for the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame.

David also appeared in the major motion picture Southpaw.

David Diamante served as the official voice of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center for six seasons. David announced for the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend. He has also announced NCAA games and tournaments.

In 2016, David announced for the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards Ceremony in New York City.

In 2012, David hosted NBC Sports Network’s daily national morning television program, The ‘Lights.

Curtis Stevens is a former regional NABF middleweight champion, having held the title twice in 2013, and in the same year challenged for the WBA and IBO middleweight titles.

Stevens made his professional debut on September 30, 2004, stopping Henry Dukes in the first round. He would remain undefeated over his next twelve fights until a loss to Marcos Primera, who stopped him in the eighth and final round on July 20, 2006. In a rematch against Primera later that year on November 15, Stevens avenged the loss with an eight-round unanimous decision.

On November 2, 2013, Stevens received his first world title opportunity when he faced WBA and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. He has also fought Andre Dirrell  and David Lemieux.
