Ring 8 Next Meeting, Thursday October 20th @ the Plattduetsche Park Restaurant
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday October 20th at the Plattduetsche Park Restaurant located at 1132 Hempstead Turnpike Franklin Square, NY.
Our guest speakers will be Jake “The Snake” Rodriguez and Kevin Moley.
Jake “The Snake” Rodriguez is the former Junior Welterweight Champion of the World, who won that title when he beat Charles Murray. He defended that title twice before losing his title to Kostya Tszyu. Rodriguez also fought such Greats as Felix Trinidad and Pernell Whitaker. He was Inducted into the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame in 2018.
Kevin Moley won his first 22 fights, 19 by knockout, before losing to Wilfred Benitez at Madison Square Garden. He finished with a record of 28-5 with 24 knockouts.
NOTE: Our annual Ring 8 Holiday Party will take place on Sunday, December 11th at Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York.
